Ashley received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2012. In 2018, she graduated from Union College with her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and is a Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C).

Ashley is from Kearney, Nebraska. She enjoys running, yoga, Husker football and volleyball, and spending time with her husband and siberian husky.
