Amy Thompson grew up in the Chicago, Illinois area and frequently visited Nebraska, where she had close family ties. Following high school, Amy left Chicago to attend Colorado State University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree. Inspired by her grandfather's career in medicine and driven by a healthy passion for helping others, Amy pursued a Master of Physician Assistant degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. 

Before joining Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Associates, P.C., Amy worked in family practice, internal medicine, and as a hospitalist, gaining a diverse range of medical experience. With nearly 30 years of service, Amy has found her broad background as a Physician Assistant instrumental in building strong patient relationships and providing comprehensive care.

Currently, Amy resides in Kearney with her husband, Kevin. She has two sons and a stepdaughter. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, biking, and swimming.
