The winter season can be a trying time for many people, when low humidity in the home contributes to symptoms such as excessive nasal dryness and irritation.
One of the best ways to minimize nasal dryness and irritation, is to have a central humidifier on the furnace in your home. The humidity level settings you choose in your own home are certainly a matter of personal preference, but something to consider: If you see water condensation on the windows in your home, it is a sign that the humidity settings are too high.
Central home humidifiers, as with all HVAC systems within the home, should be checked/inspected yearly, to ensure they are functioning properly for the winter season.
